William C. Daniel, age 82, of Paintsville died Sunday December 27, 2020 at his residence.
Born on January 20, 1938 in Paintsville, KY, he was the son of the late Homer C. and Irene (Meek) Daniel.
Mr. Daniel, known to most people as Bill, began in the printing business with his father in 1956. He became owner/operator of Commercial Printers in 1966 until his retirement. Bill was a charter Member of the Paintsville Lyons Club and served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara S. (Slone) Daniel; one sister, Nancy (Daniel) Burns of Nippa, Kentucky; one brother, John Daniel of Cathedral City, California; one brother-in-law, Roger Slone of Nippa, Kentucky; three sister-in-laws, Marilyn (Roger) Brown of Van Lear, Dorothy Slone and Mary Lynne Minix both of Paintsville, Kentucky; one uncle, Fred Meek of Georgetown, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Highlands Memorial Cemetery. The Reverend Amy Chapman will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mayo Memorial United Methodist Church, the Veterans Referral Center of Paintsville, the DAV Chapter 18 of Auxier or eKentucky Advanced Manufacturing Institute in memory of William C. Daniel. Arrangements are under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
